AI Governance Foundations
Open to Worcester Chamber of Commerce Members and their guests ONLY - if you are interested in bringing this session to your company or community, please reach out.
AI tools are rapidly becoming more prevalent in the workplace. Individuals and businesses are adopting them, and with that, they adopt both opportunity and risk. As leaders in business, AI can help us improve efficiency, spark innovation, streamline processes, and improve outcomes. But without clear rules to govern AI usage, it can also create compliance issues, damage trust with customers, and possibly expose private data.
This session covers the fundamentals of AI governance - structures and policies that ensure that you and your team are using AI responsibly, transparently, ethically, and effectively.
At this session you will learn:
● What AI governance is and why it matters to you and your team.
● The key risks that come with ungoverned AI adoption.
● Practical strategies for setting internal policies that guide team use of AI tools.
● How to assign ownership and accountability for AI practices inside your company.
Participants will have the tools to develop a strategy for AI governance for their team, and will leave with 5 key questions to ask before adopting any AI tool.
AI Ethics in UX Research
AI tools are transforming UX research by making note-taking, data analysis, transcription, and research management more efficient, shifting researchers toward strategic work that strengthens findings and deepens user understanding. But when misused, these tools can erode trust with users and teammates. This session explores how to balance research efficiency with efficacy, covering best practices for implementation, adoption, governance, trust-building, and ethical usage. Whether you are a researcher, designer, product manager, or founder, you will leave with clear guidance on leveraging AI for user research in the safest and most ethical way possible.

They call it HCI for Reason: finding the balance between humans and AI in UX
As AI tools flood the market, a disturbing trend is taking hold. Lack of accessibility, convoluted workflows, and poor onboarding are becoming the norm. In the race to launch first, companies are cutting corners and racking up massive UX debt, which must be repaid if they want to survive. This talk explores the impact of the AI boom on UX Research, Design, and Writing, and what happens when these disciplines are left out. With humorous (and sometimes horrifying) real product examples, we’ll examine the growing UX deficit in AI and why strong UX will be the key differentiator in the future.

Medium Day 2025
Finding your authentic voice in the age of AI
With the increased availability of generative AI writing tools, it’s never been faster or easier to draft a blog post or share content on social media. However, writers are continually being challenged to demonstrate their authenticity in the light of AI “tells” and accusations of “cheating.”
CLC Strategies Founder, Clare Cady, will share her experience finding her voice in over 20 years of blogging and vlogging, and what she does to maintain that voice and trust while still taking advantage of AI tools. She will discuss defining authenticity, how LLMs are really cheating off of us, and how to write like no one (and everyone) is watching.
Time of the talk is still TBD
